The Komatsu WA100M-7 compact wheel loader has a net power of 66 kW (88,4hp), the WA100M-7 has a Komatsu SAA4D95LE-6 engine that is EU Stage 3b Interim emission certified. Built upon a proven Tier 3 engine platform, Komatsu has leveraged its leadership in technology and innovation to design an environmentally friendly engine that decreases fuel consumption by approximately 10%, compared to the WA100M-6.
Weighing in at seven tonnes, the WA100M-7 also features improved operator comfort, visibility, safety and product specifications. Very compact and user-friendly, it is at home in confined spaces, is handy for moving material on construction and excavation sites, and is equally at ease at road working. Even an inexperienced operator can find it easy to operate. Optimised for tough construction applications, the WA100M-7 delivers high torque even at low rpm, and has high rimpull and enough reserves for the most difficult ground conditions. A fully automatic, hydrostatic transmission sends power to all four wheels, while a large 132 litre fuel tank guarantees long and uninterrupted working hours.
The latest KOMTRAX™ technology on the new WA100M-7 wheel loader sends machine operating information to a secure website utilizing wireless technology. Data such as operating hours and machine location is relayed to the web application for analysis.
New Features of the WA100M-7 include:
EU Stage 3b Interim Emission Certified Engine
The longitudinally installed Komatsu SAA4D95LE-6 engine is EU Stage 3b Interim certified to provide fewer emissions while also lowering fuel consumption. It uses an advanced electronic control system that manages air flow rate, fuel injection and combustion parameters. The aftertreatment functions optimise performance, reduce fuel consumption and emissions, and provide advanced diagnostic capability. Komatu’s Stage 3b system includes the Komatsu Variable Flow Turbocharger (KVFT) and an Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve, resulting in better precision and air management as well as longer component life.
Very versatile and flexible, with a hydraulic quick-coupler and a delta boom for best visibility on the quick coupler pins and on a wide range of attachments, the WA100M-7 also features Easy Fork (EF) cinematic for high breakout force and parallel movement during forklift application. A ball type hitch and an automatic hitch are available as options, interchangeable with no tools required. Also in option, for extra traction force, a 100% differential lock can be applied to the two LSD axles.
Enhanced Operator Environment
The WA100M-7 has a new two door enlarged cab, with a low centre of gravity, that provides a stable, comfortable and quiet work environment to help operators maximize productivity. Head clearance was enhanced and steps added for easier access. The PPC multifunction lever with electronic proportional control of the optional 3rd hydraulic circuit for easy and innovative control of attachment also includes a forward-neutral-reverse switch for quick and easy travel.
The new monitor gives a better view of machine data, and doors with large glass surfaces along with the standard heated rear window contribute to a great all-round visibility and increased safety on the work site. Optimal noise insulation, easy-to-reach buttons and adjustable vents complete the comfortable work environment.
Convenient Maintenance and Serviceability
Maintenance and service on the WA100M-7 can be performed easily and quickly thanks to Komatsu’s unique tilting cab, now with improved fixation for faster service. The redesigned engine hood opens widely for quick daily inspections, the electric equipment is well protected behind a maintenance cover inside the cab, and the easy-to-clean radiator is conveniently accessible. A wide core radiator with (optional) reversible fan is now standard, and dramatically reduces maintenance and cleaning time in industrial applications.
