Redditch, UK, 24th September 2015 – Marubeni Komatsu are proud to announce that following an initial evaluation by the Demolition & Recycling International (D&RI) judging panel, our PC490LC-10 High Reach Demolition machine has been shortlisted for an award at the World Demolition Summit conference and awards ceremony.
The 2015 World Demolition Awards will once again celebrate the best that the demolition industry has provided its clients in the construction sector over the period from June 2014 to June 2015.
Nominated for the Innovation Award – Plant & Equipment, the recently launched Komatsu PC490LC-10 High Reach Demolition machine brings the benefits of the Dash 10 range into the specialized demolition industry and is ideally suited for the demolition of heavy industrial structures. Obviously a hit with the punters, the PC490LC-10 HRD beat a number of entries for the award and now the judge’s task gets even more daunting by determining the final worthy winner.
“The Komatsu PC490LC-10 High Reach machine is developed and manufactured specifically for European customers” says Simon Saunders, Product Manager for Working Gear. “The new heavy duty medium reach specification, coupled with the range of new features, allows the owner and operator to maximize safety, productivity and, ultimately, profitability.”
Interestingly, the judging panel has been split into two this year to handle the judging process, with each group assessing different categories. Since the judges themselves make the Awards presentations, it will be possible to organise the evening in such a way that the judge presenting each Award category will be as much in the dark over the identity of the winner as the assembled audience. This should result in an even more tension-filled evening!
Marubeni-Komatsu Marketing Manager, Edward Prosser had this to say on the nomination; “We’re really pleased to have been nominated for this award. It’s hugely important to us and we’ve already heard great things about the machine so far from customers. The demolition industry has always been an important sector for us so it’s very pleasing that our continuous efforts are getting noticed and duly rewarded!”
The awards ceremony takes place on the evening of Friday 6th November 2015 at the NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky, Amsterdam. We look forward to seeing you there!
