Caerphilly-based Celtic Energy have taken delivery of two new PC2000-8 Excavators which they have purchased from Marubeni-Komatsu. The large 200 tonne machines which were manufactured in Japan were unloaded at Southampton docks, before being transported in kit form, by road, to the two separate working sites in South Wales. Each machine required nine low loaders to transport them. It then took a week for each machine to be assembled on-site by Marubeni-Komatsu Engineers, before being put into operation.
